KIDsforSDG by UNITAR
I volunteered and organized events with KIDsforSDG in partnership with UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training and Research) to promote an entrepreneurial spirit among Hong Kong students using the United Nations' Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs). Through this experience, I learned the power of collaboration, gained a deeper understanding of the SDGs' relevance, developed organizational and event management skills, and recognized the importance of fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among students. It was an enriching opportunity to contribute to sustainable development and inspire positive change.

MomImStudying by Manya Khanduri
As the Founder and Current President of "Mom I'm Studying," UST's first newspaper club, I led a team in organizing events related to student mental health and identity, in addition to content creation on social media. This volunteering experience helped me develop leadership skills, effective communication, event management expertise, and the ability to create impactful content. It was a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the student community and make a positive impact on campus both online and in real-life events.
Job experience
NFT and Design from Metalympics
During my internship, I focused on designing and marketing NFTs using VoxEdit, aiming to monetize and tokenize them within the metaverse. I also developed metaverse strategies on The Sandbox platform, emphasizing community-building, virtual land ownership, and NFT integration. Additionally, I created educational content on Web 3.0 and Blockchain for schools in Hong Kong and overseas. A special highlight was curating questions and engaging in live interviews with industry leaders like Sebastian Borget (Co-founder and COO of The Sandbox) and Yat Siu (co-founder and Chairman of Animoca Brands). These experiences provided valuable insights and practical exposure to the NFT market, metaverse strategies, educational content creation, and direct interactions with influential figures in the industry.
Enterprise Subscriptions & Partnerships Intern from South China Morning Post (SCMP)
I interned at the South China Morning Post (SCMP) in Hong Kong, specifically in the Enterprise Subscriptions & Partnerships department, from July 2022 to August 2022. During this period, I undertook a range of responsibilities and acquired valuable experiences and skills.
To start, I conducted competitor analysis aimed at boosting C-Suite subscription revenue. By analyzing the market and identifying areas for improvement, I provided actionable recommendations to the subscription unit, resulting in a notable 15% increase in revenue. This experience significantly enhanced my analytical and decision-making abilities.
Additionally, I played a key role in the planning and execution of logistics for C-Suite events. This encompassed tasks such as venue selection, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring seamless operations. Through hands-on involvement in event management, I honed my attention to detail, effective communication, and adaptability skills, all essential for delivering successful events.
Moreover, I engaged in economic research and contributed to event planning centered around topics relevant to C-Suite events, specifically focusing on China's future economic projections. These endeavors deepened my understanding of economic analysis techniques and equipped me with insights into China's business landscape. As a result, I was able to contribute to the development of event content that aligned with the interests and needs of the target audience.
Overall, my internship at SCMP equipped me with valuable skills in competitor analysis, revenue growth strategies, event management, and economic research. These experiences have positioned me well for a future career in the business and media industries. I am grateful for the hands-on opportunities that allowed me to grow both personally and professionally during my time at SCMP.
Technology and Management Consulting Intern From RSM
During my internship, I worked on a consulting assignment for a global client in the diamond industry, focusing on privacy and data protection. I drafted the consulting proposal and presentation for ESF schools in Hong Kong as a prospective client. Additionally, I designed and wrote the product communication strategy note for the client's monthly newsletter. These experiences provided valuable knowledge in privacy and data protection consulting, enhanced my skills in proposal development and strategic communication, and strengthened my ability to deliver impactful content. Overall, my internship equipped me with practical skills and insights for future consulting endeavors.

Melo Experience

During my time at Project Melo, my role involved organizing and creating round table collaborations with top Hong Kong CEOs, with the guidance and support from Kenny Lam from Two Sigma, APAC, and Bernard Chan from M-Plus. These collaborations focused on brain drain and talent retention, and my team and I worked diligently to ensure their success.
As part of the organizing team, I was responsible for utilizing data-driven insights, conducting extensive research, and gathering input from CEOs and students to shape the discussions. By fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment, we facilitated productive conversations and generated valuable insights into these complex issues.
Additionally, my involvement with professionals from diverse industries, such as Christie's and CNN, allowed me to broaden my network and deepen my understanding of different sectors. Collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds provided me with unique perspectives on topics ranging from the art market to media ethics.
Overall, my role in organizing and creating the round table collaborations at Project Melo was a transformative experience. It allowed me to develop leadership skills, refine my understanding of complex issues, and forge meaningful connections with professionals from diverse backgrounds. These experiences have not only shaped me as a person but have also equipped me with the skills and insights necessary to make a significant impact in future endeavors. I also enjoyed all the friends I made along my melo journey ;)!
